This specialized training program is designed to prepare participants for the role of Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator. The course covers key areas such as hazard identification, risk assessment, safety management systems, and regulatory compliance. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills required to implement and oversee workplace safety and health initiatives, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
Target Audience
The training is suitable for individuals required to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022, including:
- Appointed Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Coordinators in organizations with five or more employees, as mandated by the amendment.
- Managers and supervisors responsible for overseeing safety and health practices.
- Designated employees responsible for assisting in OSH duties in small to medium enterprises (SMEs).
- Safety and health committee members from companies with 40 or more employees.
- Employer representatives tasked with implementing safety measures and ensuring compliance with amended regulations.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify workplace hazards and assess risks in compliance with OSHA 1994 Amendment (2022).
- Implement and monitor occupational safety and health management systems.
- Ensure compliance with updated safety and health regulations and standards.
- Develop safety policies and procedures tailored to the workplace.
- Conduct incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote a safety culture and enhance employee involvement in health and safety initiatives.

Training Methodology
The course includes a combination of:
- Interactive presentations on occupational safety and health regulations.

- Practical exercises on hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementing safety measures.
Assessment & Certification
- Participants must complete the 3-day training and pass the required practical exercises, case studies, and written examination to qualify for certification.
- Only upon successful completion of the full course and assessments will participants receive a Certificate of Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator, endorsed by DOSH (JKKP).
- The certification is valid for a lifetime, as mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022. Participants who do not complete the 3-day course are not eligible for the certification.
- This certification is compulsory for OSH Coordinators in organizations with five or more employees, ensuring compliance with Malaysian occupational safety and health regulations.
